Las Vegas loves a second-chance story. Apparently TikTok does, too. This social media sensation begins at an amusement park where a handful of kids die on a roller coaster called the Cyclone (likely because the real Cyclone at Coney Island feels like it may actually kill you). Once in purgatory, they’re greeted by the park’s mechanical fortune-telling machine, which initiates a singing contest that awards the winner a trip back to the living world. What ensues is a competition that alternates between morbidity and life affirmation — and hopefully bears no resemblance to the reality TV singing shows your mother still watches. Chalk up another staged celebration of cult pop culture and viral theater by Majestic Repertory.
CSN's Chamber Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Mark Wherry and Voltaire Verzosa, will have a wide variety of selections. The CSN Jazz Singers will perform a set of jazz standards, accompanied by a top-notch rhythm section. Spotlight soloists will also be featured. Students from voice classes will sing some of the songs they've been working on this semester, ranging from folk songs to Italian art songs to musical theater.
Tickets can be purchased online or starting at 6:00 at the PAC box office.

Howard Bennett will perform favorite Handel and Bach pieces and transcriptions, including Handel's Largo, demonstrating the glory of Trinity's Casavant Organ, installed 25 years ago. Trinity is celebrating the anniversary of this remarkable instrument.
Mr Bennett is a well-known and well-respected organist, who became fascinated with the pipe organ in the historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Virginia City, where he grew up. Retiring after serving 30 years in the Douglas County School District as a teacher and administrator, he has become the expert in maintaining eight historic organs in northern Nevada.
