Only 60 minutes — that’s the amount of time an audience member needs to get well-acquainted with CSN’s dance program, especially if those 60 minutes are spent watching the college’s Fall Dance Festival, which showcases the best folklorico, ballet, contemporary, West African, and modern dance performances students and their mentors have to offer.
The celebration of artistic movement packs heavy-hitting choreographers this year, from faculty members such as Denise Darnell to former Cirque du Soliel choreographer Kishema Pendu Malik.

Let your heart soar as Contemporary West Dance Theatre (CWDT) heralds in the holidays with their annual performance of “A Cool Yule” Holiday Spectacular! They've partnered with the city of Las Vegas' Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department to present this masterpiece. So, gather your family and friends to celebrate the season with a mix of timeless classics, audience sing-alongs and the thrilling sounds of popular Christmas songs. The evening promises surprises and warm cheer for all!

Dance is an excellent way to feel the spirit of the season. Contemporary West Dance Theatre seems to agree, judging from its annual A Cool Yule Christmas Spectacular. Per tradition, this performance pairs modern dance numbers with traditional holiday tunes.

Throughout most of December, Nevada Ballet Theatre will stage its annual holiday show, The Nutcracker, reprising the edition conceived by former artistic director James Canfield, noteworthy for its Vegas-level production value.
