Designed for all ages, the festival showcases the incredible world of science and technology that exists right in our community.
Free, but some events might require registration in advance, something you shouldn't wait to do.
Enjoy an art session in the surrounding beauty of Corn Creek. Nature journaling is a meaningful way to connect to a place and to record our surroundings with data and creativity. Artist in Resident, Jess Moore will share basic nature watercolor journaling skills and provide prompts to guide your work. All materials provided. All ages invited. Be prepared for casual exploration outdoors on the Corn Creek trails.

Join Nevada Humanities at the 2026 Henderson Reads Book Festival, presented by the City of Henderson. Nevada Humanities invites Nevadans of all ages to send art postcards flying across the Silver State.
Create your own hand-made art postcard and write a short message about what you love about Nevada. The Nevada P.S. I Love You Postcard Project is an ongoing program to connect Nevadans across the state by sharing the things we love about Nevada. This project is free and open to all ages, while supplies last.

Celebrate stories, family, and creativity at Our Mothers' Gardens Book Festival—where words bloom live! Take your friends and family for a fun, inspiring day filled with books, creativity, culinary delights, and community vibes.
Among the activities, Nevada Humanities will host a zine-making workshop with Mei-Mei Mijares and Niko Mendoza. You can drop by and create a zine that celebrate family recipes, stories, and communities in Nevada. It is free and open to the public. All materials and instruction will be provided, and no prior experience is needed.
Around the Table programming is produced by Nevada Humanities as part of the national initiative By the People: Conversations Beyond 250, which is a series of community-driven programs created by humanities councils in collaboration with local partners, and was developed by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
Join Nevada Humanities and narrative designer Ashley Warren at the third annual LegendCon! Learn more about TRPGs as a collaborative storytelling medium and the creation of Loreloop: The World We Live In, The World We Create. Loreloop was created by Nevada Humanities and is inspired by Nevada's past, present, and future. Participants will be guided through creating their own Loreloop characters and learn about the project's development.
A tabletop role-playing game is an interactive group story where your decisions determine the outcome. Participants will embark on a mission from Loreloop to solve a mystery in an abandoned atomic testing community. Exploring an underground laboratory uncovers one scientist’s dream of a better future.
No previous tabletop gaming experience needed. Loreloop is recommended for ages 13 and up.

Whether curious or seriously considering fostering, this session will answer your questions, share real stories, and guide you through the next steps. Every child deserves a safe and supportive home - and it could be yours! Register and take the first step toward changing a life forever - including your own. Fingerprinting is free and available onsite to those attendees who meet certain guidelines.
