The annual Juried Student Exhibition has artwork by students in Art and Art History Program courses: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, metals, ceramics, jewelry, and design. The show opens with a reception, including refreshments, an awards ceremony, and a gallery talk. Also, the Salon de Refusés. That's on May 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The judge for this year's exhibition was Scott Dickensheets, a long time Las Vegas art critic who was deputy editor of Desert Companion magazine and continues to be a contributor.

It's Elemental Dance Company’s third annual Choreographers Showcase, Threads. Expect an inspiring evening celebrating creativity, collaboration, and community through the art of contemporary dance. Through contemporary dance, the performers artists will weave together themes of mental health, vulnerability, resilience, and healing.
Each work offers a unique perspective on the ways our stories intersect. How moments of struggle, growth, and transformation connect us in ways that are both deeply personal and universally human. Through movement, texture, and storytelling, the choreographers invite audiences to witness the invisible threads that link us together: our relationships, our inner battles, and the resilience that emerges when we allow ourselves to be seen.
