“Maladaptive Daydreaming” is an exhibition of works by 16 students from the College of Southern Nevada's Art and Art History Program, with works including ceramics, digital media, drawing, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.
In February of 2024, Las Vegas artist Harold Bradford collapsed because of heart problems, which resulted in blood clots and kidney failure. He was unable to walk, and his hands turned completely black and numb. They remain so to this day. He spent over a year in the hospital, rehabilitation centers, and living with his daughter in Oregon while he recovered. During the healing process, many doctors and nurses told him that he must have “a purpose”.
Creating art helped him to heal, and he believes his purpose is to continue sharing his gifts through art. This powerful exhibit is meant to display his purpose and to inspire others through what he has accomplished.
Runs through June 28.

On the music front, another Vegas cultural tradition resurfaces: DjangoVegas! at the Historic Fifth Street School. Jazz guitar icon Django Reinhardt gets his annual homage — as will violinist Stephane Grappelli, with whom Django established the Quintette du Hot Club de France — at this concert, headlined by hot club-style guitarists Joscho Stephan and Paulus Schäfer.
Award-winning entertainer Cali Tucker was called by People Magazine a “blend of sweet and sassy…addictive.” With her powerhouse voice, infectious humor, and electric stage presence she'll perform a mix of pop and country tunes, along with a few originals.
Cali's mother is the 70s country hitmaker LaCosta Tucker and her aunt is the legendary Tanya Tucker. She has graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry and was a finalist on The Voice. And, it can't hurt her career that she won the Miss Teen All American contest.

A day later over at UNLV’s Artemus Ham Hall, the Las Vegas Men’s Chorus will finish its 32nd season with its Broadway Our Way program, and yes, Wicked will be on the program. That’s some 100 men on stage, belting out showstoppers, with dancers complementing some of the numbers — Pride Month, what else ya got?
