Join Nevada Humanities to welcome in the holiday season and winter with readings by local poets and writers and a paper bird workshop with artist Bobbie Ann Howell. Registration not required - this is a drop in session. Supplies will be provided.

The workshop will cover the basic pattern, folding, and design options. This folded paper design can hang or rest on a table, a mantel, or nest in your Christmas tree.

The annual Holiday Art Bazaar transforms the historic Arts Factory into a lively marketplace filled with fine art, handmade goods, books, vintage finds, and one-of-a-kind holiday gifts. This artist-led event celebrates the spirit of creativity and craftsmanship, offering guests the rare opportunity to explore working studios, meet local makers, and purchase directly from the artists themselves.

Birds are a vital aspect of our nature that bring beauty, music, and joy across the world. Nevada is part of the Pacific Flyway that many species of birds use to rest and feed during their annual migration, as well as the many species that call Nevada home. Our state bird, the Mountain Bluebird, is one of many birds you can discover in our parks, forests, deserts, wetlands, and even in your own backyard.

The “It’s a Wrap” Holiday Block Party presented by Cox has become a holiday favorite for volunteers of all ages, who make holiday cards and sort, wrap, and create personalized gifts for young people experiencing homelessness throughout our community. The outdoor event includes sweet treats, hot chocolate, an ugly sweater contest, and other festivities.

Participants must register in advance at www.nphy.org/holidaygiving. The event fills up within days every year. One-hour shifts are available. Registration opens Dec. 1 and closes when all the volunteer shifts are filled.

Sixteen years after leaving countless Forty Deuce fans heartbroken when the renowned club left the city's entertainment scene, Hollywood personality Ivan Kane is returning to the Las Vegas Strip. On Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, Kane's legendary burlesque nightclub, Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce, will reopen in its original spot inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The completely reimagined venue will feature Kane’s one-of-a-kind Burlesque shows, performed in an immersive environment on multiple stages throughout the room, with six dancers, two live bands, an insane laser/light show and state-of-the-art visuals and sound … all creating a kaleidoscopic spectacular of burlesque and nightlife unique to Vegas entertainment.
