Nevada Gov mulls special session as state account runs low on cash

Lawmakers are standing around in the Assembly chambers, talking and preparing for the next session.
The Nevada Assembly meets in Carson City.

Nevada received billions in federal COVID relief money over the last few years. While much of that went to improve education funding, now the governor says the state needs to shore up an account that pays for unanticipated expenses. He’s hinted at holding a special session to add money to that account.

Democrats disagree and say the fund is in good shape.
