The intersection of art and science is the theme as the speakers examine how creativity and curiosity transcend disciplines. It features artists who draw inspiration from scientific inquiry and scientists who incorporate artistic practices into their work.
The DRI Storyteller is Tiffany Pereira, an ecologist and scientific illustrator specializing in the flora and fauna of the desert southwest.
One featured speaker is Jessica Oreck, owner and curator of the Office of Collection & Design, a museum devoted to the minuscule, the forgotten, and the discarded. Think of it as a giant art installation.
The second is CoCo Jenkins, a Manila-born and Vegas-raised multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ, and looper. As a looper, she blends her classical training and beat-making skills to create psychedelic, genre-bending compositions.
Pianist Philip Fortenberry and singer Elisa Fiorillo present an enchanting evening celebrating timeless songs made popular by Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Julie Andrews, Eydie Gorme and others. Experience masterful vocals and exquisite piano artistry! It's an unforgettable musical journey through classic and much-loved songs.

Follow the journey of Elle Woods, a fashion-savvy sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend. Elle discovers her true potential and defies expectations while staying true to herself in this fun and empowering musical.
Free for ages 5 and under. Limited number of reserved chairs ($80 each) and blankets ($175 for two people, $265 for four people) available for purchase at least one day in advance. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday.

The focus of this year's summit will be museum and civic partnerships, and growing relationships in the community with galleries, mentorships, and teaching. Featured speakers include Heather Harmon, executive director of the Las Vegas Museum of Art; Michael Govan, CEO of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and Ayanna N. Hudson, chief programs officer for Americans for the Arts, with others as well.
The day will include a continental breakfast, lunch, performances, panel discussions, speakers, evening reception with refreshments, and parking. Tickets must be purchased online.
The Avi Kwa Ame National Monument in the Mojave Desert south of Las Vegas is a space where all of us can connect with nature. Also known as Spirit Mountain, it was designated as a National Monument in 2023 because of its significant cultural importance and great biological diversity.
Artist Alina Lindquist immersed herself in Avi Kwa Ame National Monument as the artist in residence at Mystery Ranch, an artist studio and and science research center. This special exhibition showcases the artwork she created there.

During Clear the Shelters, running every day through August 31, adoption fees will be waived for cats who are at least 6 months old and dogs who are 6 months or older and weigh over 30 pounds. On August 30 and 31, all pets, including puppies and kittens, will have their fees waived. Adopters will go through the usual adoption process and their might be a $10 local government fee.
