There’s no shortage of what to see, hear, and do at any time in Nevada. Here are some highlighted cultural events for the week starting December 17.

December 21

Jewish Nevada is excited to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah with the Las Vegas Jewish community for our annual Light the Menorah event at Downtown Summerlin. We will have games and activities for kids, plus live entertainment, jelly donuts, hot cocoa, ice skating, and a raffle. The menorah lighting will be promptly at 5 p.m.

If you have any questions about Light the Menorah, please contact Jewish Nevada at 702 732-0556.

December 17-21 and 24

It's the return of the beloved holiday tradition Rafting with Santa aboard Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures’ motor-assisted rafts. This joyful 12-mile, three-hour journey down the Colorado River offers families, couples, and all outdoor enthusiasts a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate the season. Guests are invited to join in this magic time of year surrounded by majestic canyon walls, sparkling water, and the holiday cheer of Santa and his merry crew. Rafting with Santa will run Wednesday, Dec. 17 through Sunday, Dec. 21 and again on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, creating unforgettable holiday memories for guests of all ages.

Through December 21

Move over, Santa. Step aside, Scrooge. Holiday theatergoers have another memorable character to embrace as America's Greatest Treasure Blanche DeBris takes over Majestic Rep for The Blanche DeBris Emergency Xmas Broadcast, in which she attempts to save a low-power radio station from a scheming developer.

Friday, Dec.19 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

December 26-30

In the cold, forgotten days between Christmas and New Year’s, grief takes form — and sometimes it has hooves. N. KLAUS invites a small audience into a solitary hunter’s lodge, where Nick Klaus recounts an irretrievable loss and leads participants through a ritual that may bring the creature responsible to heel … or unleash him again. A meditation on belief, guilt, and the monsters we invite into our lives. A haunting, immersive tale that lingers long after the lantern goes dark.

December 26 - 30
7:00 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:15 pm

Through December 28

Eldorado Resort Casino presents Jingle Bell Rock beginning Friday, November 28, with shows through Sunday, December 28.

It's the brand-new holiday spectacular created exclusively for the Eldorado Showroom. Festive, fabulous, and bursting with music, dance, and seasonal sparkle, it’s the ultimate celebration of Christmas cheer live in Reno.

Stars from London’s West End fill the cast, including Laura Dawkes and Oliver Ormson, known for Disney’s Frozen the Musical. The performance also showcases local special guests.
