Housing prices continue to soar in Nevada. What impact is it having?

Since 2010, Nevada has gained an average of 24,000 new residents annually. But according to research by the Guinn Center Policy Priorities, the housing supply has struggled to keep up.

Rising construction costs, outdated zoning regulations, and slow permitting processes have all worsened the problem. Additionally, barriers to development on federal land, an influx of wealthier out-of-state buyers, and low wages in the hospitality sector further strain affordability.
