Vincent Falcone -- one of Las Vegas’s great music directors, conductors, and piano players -- died this past Friday in Los Angeles. He was 78 years old. About a year ago he was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Falcone’s career was wide-ranging. He worked alongside many of the biggest entertainers of our time:  Jack Jones, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Andy Williams, The McGuire Sisters, Robert Goulet, Connie Francis, Diahann Carroll, Jerry Lewis – --many others. But most notably: Frank Sinatra. He was Sinatra’s piano player and conductor during the 1970s and 80s.

In December 2015, Nevada Public Radio’s Dave Becker spoke with Falcone about his career in music.
