The Unforgettables Foundation is setting up a chapter in Las Vegas.

Head to the website of the Unforgettables Foundation and don’t cry. I dare you.

The first thing you will see is a photo of a pair of tiny red slippers, tied perfectly with a red bow. The caption is the Ernest Hemmingway line, “For sale. Baby shoes. Never worn.”

The Unforgettables Foundation helps families deal with the unthinkable – the death of a child. Many people, facing the death of a child, then turn around and face a reality that they can’t pay for a proper burial.

That’s why the Unforgettables Foundation was started in 1999. And now – 16 years later – we have a chapter in Las Vegas.

Glen Abercrombie is the chair of that chapter, and he’s a general manager at Palm Mortuary.
