Nevada Republicans officially pledged all of the state’s delegates to former President Donald Trump and his newly tapped running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, at the party's national convention in Milwaukee on Monday.

The state GOP’s delegates were secured in February when Trump won the Nevada Republican Caucus with 99% of the vote.

Nevada Republican Party Chair Michael McDonald was among the officials who kicked off the nomination process.

In a speech to delegates from across the country, McDonald’s said Nevadans were excited to help put Trump on a “path back to victory.”

"We're in a battle for the soul of our nation, because we want the best future for our family and our country. President Trump is our fearless leader.”

Nevada and its six electoral votes are vital to Trump’s path back to the White House. His previous attempts to carry the state in 2016 and 2020 failed.
