Nevada Adds 2nd Cellphone App To Coronavirus Tracking Effort

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada is adding another voluntary and free app to efforts to track person-to-person coronavirus contacts, with the launch on Thursday of Exposure Notification Express, developed by Apple and Google.

State health officials say Nevada will be the first state using both ENX and a COVID Trace app launched Aug. 24. COVID Trace currently has more than 130,000 downloads, but that's a fraction of the more than 3 million people in the state.

Nevada has tallied 176,334 cases of COVID-19 since March, and 2,384 deaths.
