LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former Las Vegas attorney has been sentenced to three months in jail and five years' probation for submitting phony documents saying her prostitute clients completed court-ordered counseling and community service.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Vicki Greco apologized in court Wednesday before she was sentenced for guilty pleas to forgery, burglary and false record felonies and a misdemeanor destroying evidence charge.
Greco's lawyer, John George, declined immediate comment Thursday.
Greco's Nevada law license was suspended following her December 2015 arrest on a 138-count indictment. She also lost her California license.
Authorities said Greco filed phony certificates in at least 41 misdemeanor cases between 2008 and 2010 in Las Vegas Justice Court.
Another former Nevada lawyer, Brian Bloomfield, was disbarred after pleading guilty to similar charges in 2016.
Bloomfield also was sentenced to 90 days in jail and five years' probation.
