LAS VEGAS (AP) — A suspended attorney has pleaded guilty to submitting phony documents to Las Vegas judges saying that her prostitute clients completed court-ordered counseling and community service.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Vicki Greco pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony and misdemeanor forgery, burglary, filing a false instrument and destroying evidence charges.
Greco could face up to 17 years in prison, but her lawyer, John George, says he hopes Greco will receive probation at sentencing Sept. 26.
Greco has been free on bail since her December 2015 arrest on a 138-count indictment.
Her Nevada law license was suspended two years ago. George says Greco is still licensed in California.
Investigators reported finding false documents in at least 41 misdemeanor Las Vegas Justice Court cases that Greco handled between 2008 and 2010.
