Man Leaps From Bellagio Garage 3rd Floor To Evade Police

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police have arrested a man who leapt from the third floor of a parking garage at the Bellagio casino-resort on the Strip in order to try to evade officers.

Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon says police encountered the man on the Strip early Tuesday morning after receiving a report that he had attacked a woman and threw a beer bottle at her.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the man jumped off a pedestrian bridge and led officers through the Bellagio Parking garage.

He jumped from an entrance ramp on the third floor but was caught by police after.

Gordon says neither the man or woman were seriously injured.
