School Board Trustee Vows To Sue Over Settlement

Clark County School Board Trustee Kevin Child says he’ll sue for slander after the governing body approved a settlement related to a harassment complaint involving but not directly naming him.

Deputy Superintendent Kim Wooden had accused Child of inappropriate behavior, and the board vote granted Wooden a settlement and an amendment to her contract.

Trustee Carolyn Edwards says the lawsuit was against the district rather than any individual.  While the case is related to alleged behavior by Child, he was not named as a party.
