Hard Rock Hotel Building Theater For "The Voice" Auditions

It looks like the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino wants to build another theater, but this one will be for those auditioning to be on the TV show "The Voice."

The Paradise Town Advisory Board will consider a use permit for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino LLC to build a 35,000-square-foot theater with 680 seats. It would be located on the southeast corner of the Hard Rock property at Harmon and Paradise.

The permit describes the theater as the only place in the world to allow ticket holders to audition every day. Winners may then occasionally be able to perform on live TV.

The advisory board will consider the permit during a public hearing in early October.
