Truck Plunges From Laughlin Casino Parking Garage

Police are investigating a crash involving a truck that officials say plunged from the fifth floor of a casino hotel parking structure in the Colorado River resort city of Laughlin.

Las Vegas police Officer Michael Rodriguez said the crash happened a little before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Edgewater resort. He says the driver was the only person in the vehicle.

Rodriguez and a Clark County fire official said it wasn't immediately clear if the driver was hurt, but police department fatal crash investigators were summoned to the scene.

A hotel official didn't immediately respond to messages.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department covers Laughlin, about 100 miles south of Las Vegas.
