Representatives from daily fantasy sports companies Draft Kings and Fan Duel are set to speak at the inaugural meeting of the reconvened Nevada Gaming Policy Committee.
The committee meeting Monday in Las Vegas includes Gov. Brian Sandoval, gambling regulators, casino executives and state lawmakers.
The group aims to discuss some of the biggest questions in the gambling world, and can make non-binding recommendations to the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Nevada Gaming Commission.
Nevada regulators concluded in October that the lucrative practice of daily fantasy sports constituted illegal gambling under existing state law.
Sandoval says Nevada needs to keep up with changing technologies and set the pace in an increasingly competitive global gaming industry.
