LAS VEGAS (AP) — Defense attorneys are invoking the recent publication of a family account of the killing of a Las Vegas mother of four in a renewed bid to postpone trial scheduled to begin this month.
Lawyers for 20-year-old Erich Milton Nowsch Jr. and 27-year-old Derrick Andrews are due to appear Tuesday before a Clark County District Court judge who has so far held firm on an Oct. 19 date.
Nowsch's attorneys say the 70-page paperback titled "Road Rage in Las Vegas: The Senseless Murder of Tammy Meyers" may contain evidence about the Feb. 12 shooting that they should check before trial.
Andrews' attorneys have also said they may want a separate trial.
Andrews is accused of driving a vehicle from which Nowsch allegedly shot Tammy Meyers in a cul-de-sac outside the home.
