No Plea Deal In Tammy Meyers Murder Case

Both sides say there won't be a plea deal ahead of trial scheduled next month for two co-defendants in the shooting death of a Las Vegas mother of four.

Prosecutor David Stanton and defense attorneys for the accused shooter, 20-year-old Erich Milton Nowsch Jr., and 27-year-old co-defendant Derrick Andrews wouldn't say Thursday what was offered.

Nowsch's attorneys, Augustus Claus and Conrad Claus, are due to tell Clark County District Court Judge Michael Villani on Tuesday whether they'll be ready for trial Oct. 19.

Andrews' lawyers, Josh Tomsheck and Roy Nelson, say they're ready.

Nowsch and Andrews have pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder, weapon and conspiracy charges in the Feb. 12 shooting that mortally wounded 44-year-old Tammy Meyers outside her home.

Both could face life in prison without parole.
