Ridesharing Companies Push Taxicab Revenues Down

Ridesharing companies have continued to push taxicab revenues down in the state, according to a report released Wednesday.

In July, the Nevada Taxicab Authority reported an almost 11 percent decline in taxi trips from the same month last year. The regions 16 certified taxicab companies reported just over $27 million in revenue last month, down 11.3 percent from July 2016.

For the year to date total, the revenues are down nearly 13.5 percent.
