Airline to offer nonstop flights between Reno, Orange County

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Alaska Airlines plans to bring a new service to Reno next year by offering daily nonstop service to Orange County.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport said Tuesday that Alaska Airlines will begin offering nonstop flights between Reno and John Wayne International Airport in the Los Angeles area beginning on March 16.

The announcement says Alaska's sister carrier, Horizon Air, will fly the route with a 76-seat Bombardier Q400.

The flight will leave Reno at 10:15 a.m. and arrive in orange County at 11:37 a.m. It will leave Orange County again at 2:45 p.m. and return to Reno at 4:05 p.m.

Alaska will offer fares as low as $79 to celebrate the new service. The discounted tickets much be purchased by Nov. 9 and travel by June 8, 2016.
