Prior to joining KNPR in 2022, she worked at KVVU-TV (FOX5 Vegas) and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. She’s won several state-level journalism awards and has been nominated for a regional Emmy award.
Kristen grew up in — and is a fierce defender of — Las Vegas. She graduated with a BA in journalism and media studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She spends most of her free time outdoors, searching for birds.
