Ten years ago, playwright/director Troy Heard was staging productions at a small theater inside a since-shuttered fetish shop at the Commercial Center.

Now, he’s got his own Arts District venue, and it attracts audiences from around the world thanks to viral TikTok clips of its shows.

His Majestic Repertory company has become not just one of the tentpoles of entertainment in the Arts District, but one of the innovators of theater in Las Vegas.

Recently, it launched its 10th season with two concurrent productions: A revisiting of Majestic's The Craft'd parody (of The Craft movie), and Empanda Loca, a play that, in part, modernizes the musical Sweeney Todd.
