Nevadans suffered a lot during the Great Recession and pandemic, as we were one of the were hit very hard economically.

And we’re still dealing with some pandemic fallout. We have the nation’s highest unemployment rate; we’re dealing with record prices for homes; food prices and gas remain high.

Now we have the trade war. And we have the Trump Administration determined to cut budgets as a way to lower the nation’s $38 trillion dollar debt—while also promising tax cuts.

One big item and big worry is Social Security. About 1 in 5 Nevadans receive those monthly checks. But it’s also the federal budget’s biggest expense. Could IT be cut?

What if Medicaid, which benefits 800,000 Nevadans, is cut?

The White House says relax, don’t worry.

But people are worrying. What do they do if retirement savings tank with the stock market. For those with larger stock holdings, should they move it out? Are treasury bonds secure?
