Angela O'Callaghan and Norm Schilling at Nevada Public Radio on July 18, 2023.

It’s been so hot this summer, our average daily temperature in July is expected to be over 100 degrees for the first time ever. In June, we reached 120 degrees. And in May and June, we broke 28 heat records.

All of that affects people, and it can play hell on your gardens and trees.

Fortunately, we have Norm Schilling and Angela O’Callaghan with us today. They’re both horticulturists and co-hosts of our Desert Bloom podcast. And they are here to answer your questions.

Guests: Norm Schilling,  owner, Schilling Horticulture ; Angela O'Callaghan, social horticulture specialist, University of Nevada Extension
