Schools out for the summer, but that doesn’t mean school districts have stopped working.
They have to hire new teachers. Schools are being repaired and cleaned.
And in Clark County, bigger issues: the school district is starting a nationwide search for a new superintendent; the district’s school board just lost a big issue in court; and no one’s forgotten the beating death of a 17-year-old high schooler by classmates last year.
So parents, students and teachers are looking for changes that will improve the performance and operation of the nation’s fifth largest school district.
