Here's why right now is the best time to go try out some Las Vegas restaurants

It's the most delicious time of the year: Las Vegas Restaurant Week

In neighborhoods across the valley, you can dine on all kinds of tasty food. From fried chicken and burgers to sushi and tacos, you'll enjoy eating at the best restaurants in Southern Nevada while a portion of the proceeds go to Three Square Food Bank.

This restaurant community was like, 'We are ready. Bring on Restaurant Week.'

Three Square marketing outreach specialist Will Edwards said more than 200 restaurants are offering special menus and promotions this year. That's a new record for the nonprofit food pantry.

It's a huge difference from last year, when 129 restaurants got involved. Issues like short-staffing, stricter mask regulations and smaller profits prevented many from participating.

It was very tough. Some of our staples didn't come back, and they didn't want to do it. They couldn't do it.

Edwards said he was surprised, happily of course, that his team could curate such a diverse group of local and Strip eateries for the 12-day food extravaganza.

He said for a donation of $1, Three Square can provide three meals for local families with food challenges.

You're gonna' sit down to eat. You're gonna' have a phenomenol meal, a great conversation, great ambience, and you're going to be helping people in the community.

Las Vegas restaurant week goes through June 17.

Menus range from $20 to $80. Reservations are recommended.
