Will Med Pot Biz Ever Open In Downtown Las Vegas?

Medical marijuana has been legal in Nevada for more than a decade but the dispensaries that are supposed to make it available to patients have not opened.

Downtown Las Vegas has changed immensely since 2008. That was the year the city sank into the depths of the recession.

It’s also been that long since the city took a good look at its downtown master plan.

Meanwhile, it’s only been a year since the city approved numerous licenses for medical marijuana business. Most of the licenses were locations in downtown Las Vegas. 

Yet none of them have opened.

Councilman Bob Beers has some insight on those delays.
