Over three nights this weekend, some 700,000 people will attend the Electronic Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Speedway.
During that time, average high temperature reach 100 degrees, with heat rising as thousands of people crowd together and dance to the thud and trill of the electronic beat.
And as people at music events are liable to do, they are apt to ingest alcohol and drugs that have the potential to make them sick.
That’s where Dr. Dale Carrison and his team come in.
For the last four years, Dale Carrison, the head of emergency medicine at University Medical Center, has been stationed in the trauma tents at EDC. He and his team treat more than 300 people a night.
