It’s more than a music festival – Life is Beautiful’s ambitious goal is to celebrate music, food, art and learning. Its founder, Rehan Choudhry says that last year’s inaugural festival was so successful that this year he added a day to the event.

But there’s been a general lack of enthusiasm from the press for this year’s musical lineup, which includes acts ranging from Kanye West to Lionel Ritchie.
And it’s not clear whether this latest arts festival in the desert has a chance of making a profit, at least not any time soon.
