The Little Train Car That Could

Up in Carson City, an antique relic from the year 1910 has come back to life.  The McKeen motor car – which covered more than 500,000 miles when it ran between Reno and Minden from 1910 to 1945 – now runs for tourists at the Nevada State Railroad Museum.  The motor car went through many iterations after it retired – even serving as a restaurant diner.  Now it’s been nominated as a National Historic Landmark.  We talk with the museum curator about what makes the motor car so special, and why people love trains so, so much.
