O Wherefore Art Thou, Shoe Tree

Highway 50 is known as the "Loneliest Road in America." And now it's a little lonelier. The highway lost one of its favorite landmarks - a 70-foot tall tree covered with shoes - when vandals cut it down overnight. Locals had nicknamed it the "Shoe Tree," and tourists often stopped to snap photos or pitch a pair of sneakers into its branches. But last week, local residents woke up to find that someone had cut it down. A local bartender tells us what happened, and why everyone - including his grandmother - is so upset.
