Justin Furstenfeld frontman for the band Blue October stopped by the NV89 studio to perform a few songs and have a conversation with NV89 afternoon host Gia DeSantis.
Justin and Gia talk about his wife and family who were the inspiration to transform his life through sobriety (now seven years sober), taking his daughter to see an upcoming Billie Eilish concert, and recording music at Peter Gabriel's studio in England; Peter being one of Justin's biggest inspirations as a musician.
The forthcoming documentary Get Back Up chronicles his life and career over the past six years, directed by Norry Niven (Dexter, Chasing Shakespeare). The documentary will premire Fall 2019 on the film festival curcuit.
