Chris Zasche - The Head and the Heart

The Head and the Heart, acclaimed indie folk band with roots in Americana formed in Seattle 2009 by a group of northwestern transplants. The band stopped into Reno for a show on July 25th 2019 while on tour for their fourth studio release Living Mirage, available now on Warner Records. Supporting their tour, St. Paul MN band Hippo Campus.

Bass player Chris Zasche spoke with Gia DeSantis, afternoon host and music director with NV89 about their latest record and writing process. Gia and Chris discuss their mututal friends in the music biz and shared love for the "Biggest Little City".

The interview initially aired on 7/25/19 before their show. This segment is the extended directors cut which contains previously unaired conversation featuring stories about the bands first demo and tour. There's even a special guest appearence with Program Director and morning host Malayna Joy.
