From Nevada Public Radio President and CEO Mark Vogelzang:

All of us at Nevada Public Radio are committed to providing independent, public service journalism every day through KNPR-FM, our various radio signals, knpr.org and Desert Companion magazine, online and on social media.

As a longtime NPR member station, we are proud of our partnership and colleagues at NPR News.

Sponsor Message

The inaccurate status that Twitter has applied to NPR News is not helpful. We also understand this is a quickly evolving discussion both inside and outside public radio and public media.

For now, our plan is to pause the use of our Twitter account, @knprnews.

Twitter is only one of the many platforms used to engage and provide content to our audience. Whether through our FM broadcast, online, print, or other social media platforms like Nevada Public Radio's Facebook and Instagram, as well as Desert Companion's Facebook and Instagram, we will continue to be a relevant source of journalism and information for our supporters and users.

At the same time, we want your feedback. You are crucial to the efficacy and strength of Nevada Public Radio, and we value your thoughts, comments and reactions. You can reach us on Facebook, Instagram, and through our contact form at knpr.org.
