Perception, a 'digital art experience,' opens in Las Vegas

Perception

In Las Vegas, we have production shows, comedy shows and musical performances. Now there’s a new entertainment option.

Perception is the city’s first permanent digital art museum.

Guests are first greeted by the Mona Lisa. At first, it just looks like a replica of the famous portrait, but then she seems to come alive.

The second room is an immersive LED and surround sound experience and the third room culminates with "The Last Supper," all projected on 28-foot walls and the ceiling.

Perception's first art installation is called “Leonardo: the Universal Man.” CEO and co-creator Robert Frey said he chose Leonardo DaVinci because this iconic figure remains relevant today.

“He’s really, I think, the most beautiful mind that ever lived," Frey said. "So I’ve always been a big fan, not only of his artwork, but everything he’s ever conceived of in his brain. It’s unthinkable that in late 1400s, he was able to put this all together and predict what life would be.”

Tickets for the multi-sensory digital experience start at $39.50. Perception is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 2780 S Las Vegas Blvd.
