New bill introduced to bolster Nevada's tourism industry post-pandemic; what's it about, and will it work?

Recovery from the pandemic has been uneven. Unemployment in the hospitality and leisure sectors is still twice the national average. And recent analysis by the Nevada Resort Assocation found that it could take another two years before the state’s top economic driver reaches pre-pandemic levels.  

And what about conventions? Contention attendance was down by nearly a third last year. When will those folks come back?

What about the hospitality and leisure economy? Unemployment in those sectors remains twice the national average.  

What does that mean in Nevada? How has the lag in tourism affected the businesses that depend on that economy?
