The craft beer industry is booming. What it’s not is culturally diverse.
A recent demographic study by the Brewer’s Association reveals that more than 93 percent of independent brewery owners are white, and more than 75 percent of them are male.
Local beer enthusiast and entrepreneur Ashlie Randolph aims to change that.
She’s a principal member of two groups aiming to give both people of color and women a bigger presence in the beer industry.
And she’s eager to share what she’s learned with other women of color.
