Vegan Community Expands In Las Vegas

Larry Crowe / Associated Press

Just how vegan is Vegas?

If you eat out once in a while, you know most restaurants have vegan entrees.

There’s even a Vegan Food pantry that gives out 100-percent vegan items to the food insecure. It opened late last year.

And this weekend – the first vegan cooking school will open in downtown las vegas.

When did and why has veganism become so popular in Las Vegas? It's the topic we're consuming on today's edition of State of Nevada.
