Oakland A’s executives have been racking up the frequent flier miles checking out Las Vegas as a possible new home for the Major League Baseball team.
With several visits in the books and another planned, the A’s are looking closely at the Las Vegas area if plans fall through for a new stadium in Oakland.
“Clearly this team has a lot of roots in Oakland,” says State of Nevada contributor John L. Smith, but the team has made it clear it wants out of aging RingCentral Coliseum.
The next move belongs to the Oakland City Council, which votes this month on a redevelopment plan that includes a new A’s stadium.
