The 2021 legislative session wrapped up Monday just after midnight.

 

Lawmakers passed a new tax on mining, expanded voting access and approved a slate of criminal justice reforms. But what about the bills that didn’t make it through?

 

And how did they get a mining tax increase across the finish line, after decades of failed attempts?
