If you saw the crowds at Strip casinos over the holiday weekend — or the horrible traffic delays on southbound I-15 on Monday — you might assume Las Vegas is back to normal.
It’s not there yet, but it’s getting there.
For now, Covid-19 is still affecting the gaming and tourism industries, for better or worse. And it might do so for the foreseeable future, especially when it comes to international travel, still-shuttered local casinos and resort employment.
Also: revenue from Henderson and Boulder Highway landed the southeast area in the top 10 of American gaming markets -- three notches higher than the entirety of Reno and Sparks, and nine above the Downtown Las Vegas market.
