Suit Filed Against ATF In Henderson Gun Manufacturing Case

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is being sued after it granted a new firearms license to Henderson gun manufacturer JA Industries.

The Nevada Independent reports that the state of Illinois, the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and the gun safety organization Everytown, filed the suit against the ATF last Friday in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York.

The lawsuit requests that the ATF revoke the firearms license it awarded JA Industries, formerly Jimenez Arms.

JA Industries was sued last year on allegations of breaking federal firearms law and repeated violations of the Gun Control Act.  The complaint alleges that the ATF failed to properly investigate JA Industries before granting the new license.
