Las Vegas Man Charged For Making Threatening Facebook Posts

A Las Vegas man faces charges over a threatening Facebook post about Governor Steve Sisolak.

Steve Feeder faces a charge of “publishing matter inciting breach of peace.”  Feeder posted a set of comments to the governor’s official Facebook page multiple times.

The post was originally posted in May, and its language includes a call to form a militia, take up arms, and fight back against state actions stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Nevada Attorney General’s office says in court filings that the comments were not protected by the First Amendment because they incite violence.   A hearing in the case is scheduled for next year.
