LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say the wife of a gun-wielding man who was shot and killed by officers said he experienced a "mental episode" and fired three shots inside their home.
Capt. Yasenia Yatomi told reporters the man's wife fled the house before police arrived about 4:20 p.m. Sunday. The man then came out of the house with a gun.
Two officers fired several shots and Yatomi says a police K-9 dog was deployed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name and the names of the officers were not immediately made public.
