Police, Animal Control Capture Ram Near Downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — From the 'here's something you don't see everyday department': A rogue ram was on the loose near downtown Las Vegas.

Animal control officials and Las Vegas Metropolitan police apprehended the animal around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the ram estimated to be around 80 pounds appeared to be domesticated and likely escaped a home in the area.

There were no reports of injuries and police say animal control took custody of the animal.
